HILARY ALEXANDER

Hilary Alexander has extensive broadcast experience that includes three years on BBC 2’s Style Challenge. She is often interviewed for fashion cable channels including Fashion File, Fashion TV and Video Fashion. She is the regular stylist and presenter for the Designer Catwalk shows at the annual Clotheshow Live in Birmingham. She was the featured stylist in the Living TV series Britain’s Next Top Model in 2005 and 2006 and also appears in the latest series.

BARONESS LOLA YOUNG

An author, academic and political voice, Baroness Lola Young is a champion for sustainable fashion issues and founder of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Ethical Fashion.

MANDI LENNARD

Mandi Lennard runs fashion consultancy Mandi’s Basement. She is widely recognised for promoting the creative hotbed of London’s East End having guided the careers from graduate level, of many designers over the past 10 years. She is also style blogger for The Sunday Times, works with LOVE Magazine, and has been collaborating with Katie Grand for 10 years. Mandi was listed within ‘The Power 25’, released by the British Fashion Council to coincide with their 25th anniversary, and has been named by Evening Standard as one of the most influential Londoners for her contribution to fashion.

ORSOLA DE CASTRO

Orsola de Castro is a pioneer and an internationally recognized opinion leader in sustainable fashion. In 1997 she started From Somewhere, a revolutionary label that was the first to address the issue of pre-consumer waste and reproducibility in recycling for the fashion industry. From Somewhere collaborations include upcycled collections for Jigsaw, Robe Di Kappa, Tesco and Speedo.

In September 2006 Orsola, together with her partner Filippo Ricci, started Estethica, the sustainable fashion area at London Fashion Week which she still curates and organises for the British Fashion Council. In March 2010 Orsola designed the Oscar Dress for Livia Firth, wife of best actor nominee Colin.

CLARE LISSAMAN

Clare Lissaman is an ethical trade consultant, specialising in labour standards within in global supply chains, and has worked with businesses across the sector from Tesco to Gap and Marks & Spencer. Alongside this, Clare is on the Steering Group of the Decent Work and Labour Standards Forum, and ran the Hong Kong Asian Conservation Awareness Programme.

Clare is also Co- Founder of Ethical menswear label Arthur & Henry.

SARAH RATTY

Sarah Ratty is a multi award winning internationally recognised eco style pioneer, green guru and leading opinion maker in sustainable fashion. With Conscious Eathwear in 1992 the first to address issues of recycling, pre consumer waste, her seminal collections in sustainable textiles blazed a trail for the fashion industry. Stocked by Browns and Harvey Nichols, bought for the V&A Museum in London with fashion shows in Sydney, Tokyo, Paris. Sarah’s collaborations with Ciel include upcycled projects at Liberty of London for Whistles and Anthropologiie.

A speaker at the United Nations 2010 on the rise of sustainable fashion she appeared in Life! Magazine and designed the dress worn by actor Colin Firths wife Livia for the Screen Directors and Actors Guild Awards the beginning of a journey which turned Livia into the Green Fashion Ambassador she has become today. Sarah’s work with Soil Association, Global Organic Textile Standards created a tipping point for Organic cotton and her constant use of new materials has been an inspiration for many designers includeing the new Conscious Collection at H&M. Her latest collaboration is to create a Conscious Eyewear range.

PAMELA DANIELS

With specialisation in branding, advertising, publishing and strategic marketing, Pamela thrives leading in a creative atmosphere. Pamela has over 15 years experience in the creative industries, in her native Canada, as well as the USA, UK and Europe.

NGAIRE TAKANO

Ngaire is a sourcing consultant, educator and connector for artisans, clean supply chains and sustainable sourcing. She supports and works with the craftsmen, women, and artisans who nurture traditional skills and methods of production, connecting them with designers and brands.

ZEL ALBUQUERQUE

Zel Albuquerque is the Founder/ Creative Director of Caipora, a 2011 SOURCE INNOVATION Award winner. Brazilian born, Zel is an expert in branding and strategic marketing and has spent the last couple of years growing the elegant accessories label. Caipora has been featured in leading publications such as Vogue.com, The Observer, The Daily Telegraph, Six Magazine and, its designer’s creations been worn by super models and celebrities, Gisele Bundchen, Tali Lennox and Amber Atherton.
