Taylor Barringer

Having worked with the likes of Refinery29, Elle (US) and Glossybox, Taylor Barringer knows exactly what it takes for fashion's web content to go viral. SOURCE Intelligence talks to her about what makes "good content", how to promote it and how to turn it into sales.

Online retailing is the fastest growing market in Europe and is expected to grow by over 11% this year in the U.S. (RetailMeNot Inc, 2015) If fashion companies are going to succeed, they need to embrace selling online. Not only does this, of course, require a website and the technical capacity but success also takes a whole different approach to reaching customers and communicating in a new way.

Focusing on your web presence becomes absolutely vital to ensuring that your potential customers find you, are able and compelled to buy your products. And building your web traffic and converting this into actual sales is a mix of art and science.

Here, we sit down with Taylor Barringer, the Media Fashion Director at The Corner Berlin and former Chief Global Head of Content and Social Media for Glossybox.

After working as a digital editor for Refinery29 and Elle magazine in NYC, Taylor moved to Berlin in 2013 to work with a global beauty brand on the content and social media strategy for the 12 countries they served. She now works with a handful of fashion and beauty brands looking to break into the global market by setting up their creative direction, websites, content and social media strategies, and marketing initiatives.
