WHY VOLUNTEER TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOURCE INTELLIGENCE:
• You will have a dedicated profile on the contributors page of SOURCE Intelligence, which is the premier B2B intelligence platform for sustainable fashion. If you are interested in moving into a role in relation to ethical fashion, or growing your profile and experience in the sector, this will create a platform for you to develop and promote your knowledge / expertise.
• Contributors to SOURCE Intelligence will be researching and writing on the latest developments across the fashion sector in relation to sustainability. You will have the opportunity to speak to leading experts, get insider information and understand what is going on at the cutting edge of the ethical fashion movement. If you want to develop your expertise in ethical fashion in a focused and systematic way, contributing to SOURCE Intelligence will help you to do this.
• You will be contributing to a resource that helps transform livelihoods and opportunities for thousands of vulnerable individuals and communities in fashion industry supply chains all over the world, and reduce the growing environmental impact of the industry, by offering information, tools, and guidance to fashion professionals seeking to integrate exemplary practices with their work in the fashion sector.
• You will benefit from a contributors login, allowing you access to subscribers only content on SOURCE Intelligence and Database, for the duration of your period as a volunteer.
OPTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS
There are two options for volunteers:
1. Become an external contributor, liaising with the editorial team and researching and writing for the SOURCE from wherever you are.
2. Join the EFF team in house for a short internship or placement as a voluntary researcher, writer or editorial assistant within your area of interest, based at EFF’s London offices. (3 short term positions available)
Contributors research and write for the SOURCE, including reporting on best practice, profiling innovation, researching market and business developments, liaising with buyers, designers, entrepreneurs and business and sustainability leaders, and reporting on global developments in the sector.
In house option: The opportunity to assist the editorial team is an exciting one, offering the chance to have a meaningful impact on the development of the magazine. The role also provides broad experience in online journalism, targeted research and the ethical fashion sector.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Essential:
- Dedicated and passionate writers and researchers who have an interest in fashion, ethics and sustainability.
- Proven written ability in English to a high professional standard.
- Ability to produce concise, balanced and accurate articles according to the value and voice of the SOURCE Intelligence magazine (this will be made clear in contributors guidelines).
- Ability to carry out research in a systematic and consistent manner
For external contributors:
- Appropriate qualifications and/or experience in one or more of the following: sustainability, fashion industry, business, marketing or journalism.
- A good understanding of the ethical fashion sector – the key players and latest developments.
Preferred:
- Experience in dealing with fast-paced industry deadlines.
- Proven experience in interviewing high profile individuals in the fashion industry.
- Preparation and editing of articles to a high professional standard, for publication
